Abstract

In practical engineering such as wear of mechanism, fatigue and corrosion of structures, etc., the transition from safety state to failure state is not sharp and is a gradual failure process, i.e. the failure criterion is fuzzy (Bernd et al. 2003; Jiang & Chen 2003).
