Abstract

Diazafluorene derivatives have recently received much attention in the field of organic and plastic electronics, due to their unique structures and properties for constructing organic molecules/polymer semiconductors. In comparison with fluorene derivatives, diazafluorene derivatives have stronger affinity and can smoothly coordinate with different metal salts, which extend the applications of fluorene derivatives for thin film devices, biosensors in the medical science. Up to now, DAF derivatives have been widely applied in many fields such as electron-transporting materials, organic emitter, solar sensitizers, and sensors and sterilization materials. In this paper we focus on the synthesis 4, 5-diazafluorene and its derivatives and the application of thin film devices.
