Abstract

Based on the elements in the static structural finite element method and the deconcentrations of structural elements' strength and external load, the reliability models corresponding to a structural element and system are established. Moses' incremental load method and the advanced optimality criterion method are employed for the significant failure modes. Instead of Ditlevsen's narrow bounds method, the method with high accuracy is adopted in this paper to compute the system failure probability. To increase the computational accuracy of the two- and three-order joint failure probabilities, the numerical integration method in affine space is used. The influences of some constants on the structural reliability are studied and the obtained conclusions are very useful for the design of all types of structure.
