Abstract
We investigate the movement of particles in ERF that is under Poiseulli flow by virtue of molecular dynamic simulations. The velocity profile of particles we simulated is divided into two zones. The zone near the electrodes where the particle velocity profile changes periodically like breathing type, we called it the transition zone. The zone between the two electrodes where particles move smoothly as a plug, we called it the plug zone. In addition, we also simulate the relationship between volume flow rate and relative pressure gradient. We then analyze the factors that influence the volume flow rate, critical electric field, critical pressure gradient and the response time of shutting flow respectively.
