Abstract

In this paper, a compound eye array model which consists of hexagonal dome light receivers arranged on a hemispherical surface for capturing, aiming and tracking laser channel of satellite space communication is proposed and the laser beam aiming algorithm is bought out for angular positioning of the laser direction by the light intensity distribution from each small eye array. The simulation results carried out by MATLAB show that the model is suitable for fast aiming and tracking laser channel of space nodes with little location accuracy error range.
