Abstract

Periodic testing is an effective method for guaranteed performance of storage material. The rational testing has important meaning for function and cost. But testability factor affects the storage reliability. A definite testability factor could not good reflect engineering reliability. So the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation is put forward to determine testability factor. According to the nature of performance deterioration of storage material, the model of fuzzy reliability is given based on fuzzy testability factor. Cost model is given by a function combining fuzzy reliability. Finally, the optimal model which the minimal costs and maximize the time to inspect is presented. For a given reliability, with this model the optimal testing period can get. This is proved to be practical by a genetic algorithm optimal example of underwater vehicle.
