Abstract

Rubber is often used in aircraft manufacturing to achieve the purpose of sealing, energy absorption and vibration reduction. The mechanical properties and aging characteristics of rubber in service environment are related to the safety and service life of aircraft. This review systematically introduces the test methods of mechanical properties of aviation rubber in service environment. This paper summarizes the new research and application of rubber in the aviation field in the past 30 years, introduces the mechanical properties tests of different grades of rubber under different service environments, and puts forward some suggestions on the development direction of service environment test methods for aviation rubber materials.
