Abstract
In order to solve the cab jitter problem for a heavy-duty truck, an experimental research on the cab jitter phenomenon induced by brake judder was carried out. The characteristics of cab jitter and the effect factors were analyzed. The vibration transfer path of cab jitter under braking force was clarified, which indicates that the insufficient stiffness of suspension system in X and Y directions is the main reason to lead to cab jitter. On the basis of the test analysis, a solution for cab jitter was put forward, and the vibration reappearance test for cab jitter was performed in a road test. The results show that the proposed method can solve the problem of brake cab jitter and validates the rationality and feasibility of the test analysis.
