Abstract

In this paper, by analysising the phases and microstructures of the deposition products, the reason of creation of solider powder and the effects of the deposition temperature, fibres and PyC on the deposition rate and the infiltrative of a CVI process were investigated. The results indicate, Nextel 720/silica composites was fabricated by chemical vapor infiltration on nextel 720 fibres without PyC. Vinyl tirethoxy-silane (JH20) was used as precursor, deposition temperature was 725°C.
