Abstract

Two types of bonding agents were synthesized based on polyetheramines (PEAs), which aim to increase the strain of AP/CL-20/GAP formulation. The PEAs, terminated with cyano (CTPEA) and Schiff base (SBPEA) groups, were applied in the AP/CL-20/GAP formulation, respectively. The results showed that the bonding agents TCN-403 (CTPEA) and TBA-403 (SBPEA), which were prepared from trifunctional PEA named as T-403, could significantly increase the maximum elongation ratio of the formulation. The differences between the TCN-403 and TBA-403 were analyzed by DMA of the formulations, SEM of the coated fillers, and in-situ tensile test, indicating that the Schiff base bonding agents can effectively inhibit the dewetting of the binder from the solid particles in the formulations.
