Abstract
The MQ silicone resin was synthesized by using chlorotrimethylsilane and tetraethyl orthosilicate. The structure of the MQ silicone resin was analyzed by means of Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), 29Si-nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and gel permeation chromatography (GPC). The structure of silicone pressure sensitive adhesive was characterized by FT-IR, and thermal properties were investigated by using thermogravimetic analysis (TG). The results show that the MQ resin has condensation polymerization reaction with methyl silicone rubber terminated with hydroxyl group, and the structure of the MQ silicone is suitable for preparing silicone pressure sensitive adhesive; the prepared pressure sensitive adhesive possesses better initial cohesiveness, peel strength and high temperature resistance.
