Abstract

Lead sulfide (PbS) nanoparticles capped by dialky dithiophosphate pyridine (DDP) are synthesized by ion modification. The nanoparticles are characterized by transmission electron microscopy and electron diffraction. The nanoparticles are evenly distributed with the average diameter of 3-5nm. The diffraction ring shows that the nanoparticles have galenite crystalline structures. The liquid paraffin additive containing such nanoparticles has good antiwear property.
