Abstract
A novel task specific ionic liquid with surface activities based on heterocylic pyrrolidone as cation and chloride ion as anion was synthesized using N-methyI-2-pyrrolidone and 3-(trimethoxysilyl) propyl chloride as material through Sn2 nucleophilic substitution reaction. The chemical structure was characterized by elemental analysis, Fourier-transformed infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) analysis. At the same time, the surface-activity and conductivity of task specific ionic liquids were studied. The results showed that the structure of synthesized product is consistent with the theoretical structure of task specific ionic liquids, which has a wide liquid temperature range and low surface tension. The conductivity gradually increased with temperature increasing.
