Abstract
A novel conjugated polymer containing fluorene and oligo-PPV units which are alternatingly arranged in the backbone was synthesized by using Suzuki coupling reaction. The chemical structure of the polymer was characterized by 1H-NMR and FT-IR. The polymer shows good solubility in CHCl3, Tetrahydrofuran and CH2Cl2 etc. TGA revealed good thermal stability of the polymer. Optical properties were characterized by using Ultraviolet-visible and Photoluminescence spectroscopies, indicating blue emission of the polymer.
