Symplectic method for classical damped system response based on separative transform

Abstract

The difficulty of Symplectic method to find the response of a classical damped system is expounded. Based on a strategy that a classical damped system may be transformed into an undamped system equivalently, a Symplectic method to get the response of the system with classical damping, with the help of Symplectic solution of undamped system, is proposed. A detailed analysis of Symplectic method for undamped system response is carried out. Results of examples show that the method proposed is efficient and feasible.
