Abstract

The solution crystallization behavior of polyethylene (PE) was studied using both standard and temperature modulated DSC. The results indicate that the nonreversible enthalpy value for solution crystallization is much less, compared to PE crystal from melt crystallization. It may suggest that the imperfect structure units in its crystals are relatively smaller, consequently, reduces the value of nonreversible enthalpy.
