Study on dynamic balance in situ for micon 600 kW wind turbine generator

Abstract

Unbalance is normal fault for wind turbines. The causes of wind turbine unbalance and relevant caused results were presented. In order to overcome the difficulty of dynamic balance in situ for wind turbine, a kind of balancing belt was designed specially for wind turbine and relevant balancing method was presented. Then Micon 600 kW wind turbine generator unit in Heitengxile Wind Farm was balanced in situ successfully. The balancing results show that the balancing belt can satisfy the need of dynamic balance in situ for wind turbine and the vibration amplitudes of wind turbine are reduced gready. The example fully demonstrates the importance of dynamic balance tests for wind turbine generator.
