Abstract
The main processing techniques used to fabricate high temperature ceramic matrix composites reinforced by continuous fibers involve two technique routes of using liquid and gas phase as precursor. The aim of the present contribution is to give an overview of the most employed or promising processes. The results show that the near net shape processing techniques at low temperatures/ pressures, and displaying both a high flexibility and a low cost, are preferred.
