Abstract

Ba(1-x)MgxTiO3 (x=0.03, 0.06, 0.09, 0.12) ceramics were prepared by solid state synthesis at 1195, 1210, 1225, 1240 and 1255°C, respectively. The phase structures and dielectric properties were investigated by X-ray diffraction and impedance analyzer. The results indicate that with the increase of Mg content, the content of cubic phase of Ba(1-x)MgxTiO3 ceramics increases, but the content of tetragonal phase decreases. However, its dielectric constant and Curie temperature decrease, and its Curie peak broadens indicating a frequency dispersive. The Ba0.97Mg0.03TiO3 ceramic sintered at 1225°C has stable properties, with a dielectric constant of 1600 and a dielectric loss of 0.002.
