Simulation method of airborne forward-looking windshear radar echo signals

Abstract

Windshear is currently the main reason for the crash accident. Considering the necessity of windshear study, a model and a simulation method of echo signal of airborne forward-looking windshear radar was proposed. The model could be expressed as the spectral characteristics of microburst and clutter when the aircraft was in the stage of landing or taking off. The principles of methods and simulation process were introduced in detail. The simulation results of microburst and clutter were given. The simulation results show that the simulation method is reasonable and the simulated echo data is correct.
