Second Harmonic Generation from Centrosymmetric 2D Materials after van der Waals Stacking

Abstract

We report that van der Waals stacking of centrosymmetric two-dimensional materials, e.g. bilayer MoS2 (2LM) and monolayer graphene (1LG), could support remarkable second harmonic generation, which could be attributed to the interfacial charge transfer.
