Review of Titanium Industry in China

Abstract

This paper summarizes the latest developments of metallurgy and processing technologies as well as other technical aspects of titanium in China during the four-year period since the 10th World Conference on Titanium held in Hamburg in 2003, highlights the considerable progress of titanium industry in the past four years, and makes a brief introduction to the important progress on applications of titanium alloy in China. After five years of rapid development, China's titanium industry has become one of the major forces of titanium industry in the world. This paper presents and forecasts the development trend of the titanium industry in China in the near future.
