Abstract

For dynamic response sensitivity analysis of stochastic structures under random excitation, a new dynamic sensitivity assessment method is presented on the basis of the point estimation method. From the expressions of the average of mean square values of the stochastic structural response, the sensitivity analysis is transformed to the problem of solving expectation values, and then the expressions of the dynamic response sensitivity are deduced from the point estimation of the function moment of basic random variables. The example results show that the method is reasonable, and valuable for engineering use due to the efficiency and precision of the point estimation method.
