Abstract

Automatic flight control system (AFCS) is an inevitable trend of the future intelligent and uninhabited flight platform. Situation assessment (SA) is an effective method to solve the problem of the autonomous decision-making in autonomous piloting. The concepts, contents and process of SA are put forward. Then the methods about the implementation of SA are introduced and analyzed. And finally the application of SA to AFCS is considered. Especially SA based on Bayesian networks (BN) is applied to it, and BN Model of SA for AFCS is propounded. Therefore application of SA to AFCS should be effective for automation and intelligence of the decision-making process.
