Abstract

The liquid extrusion process is a new plastic forming technology. It has been developed in recent years, and is a means by which a tube, bar or shaped product can be effectively formed. However, there is some difficulty in regulating the process parameters and controlling the forming quality at present. In this paper, the artificial neural network method has been used for exploring the prediction of the process parameters. By the use of a three-layer BP network as a model, the prediction values coincide well with experimental values. Therefore, a new way of optimizing process parameters and enhancing forming quality has been provided by the authors.
