Abstract

Aircraft is very complex system, and its design and manufacture are very huge system engineering. In order to improve the safety of aircraft, Zonal Safety Analysis (ZSA) on aircraft is a very important and complex task. In the paper, zonal safety analysis method is discussed and the ZSA system is developed. Based on research on ZSA, the model of aircraft zonal modules is presented, and the structure of parameters for aircraft zone modules is given. Combining the safety rules database and failures database of components, making use of the effective search algorithms, the interaction of zone in aircraft, such as interaction of systems and system installation, effects of maintenance errors and the failures on system, can be inspected sufficiently. Lastly integrated with the expert's judgments, the safety analysis reports on zones and aircraft are produced.according to the development and usage of the ZSA software system, it is shown that the ZSA system can assist the engineer on safety analysis effectively.
