Abstract

Due to the fact that crucial and often the complex components of product can not be manufactured outsourcing as a whole in one organization, this paper presents a solution of manufacturing execution supporting rapid extended manufacturing. The background of rapid extended manufacturing and Manufacturing Execution System are explained. The article analyzes several main issues of manufacturing execution system supporting rapid extended manufacturing. According to the problems of manufacturing execution system supporting rapid extended manufacturing, key technologies of manufacturing execution system supporting rapid extended manufacturing are studied: production scheduling for rapid extended manufacturing; manufacturing resource discovery and selection; manufacturing execution and management for process cooperation oriented mobilized rapid response manufacturing; information integration of manufacturing execution system with other systems based on manufacturing resources optimum allocation platform.
