Abstract
Improving the reconstruction quality has been important subject for researching in image reconstruction. The reconstructed images usually suffer from salt and pepper noise when reconstructing with conventional ART, by adding a relaxation factor the convergence speed can be accelerated and the problem of salt and pepper noise can be overcome. Computer simulation experiments were made on relaxation factor under different projection numbers and different noise levels, the reconstruction quality was compared and analyzed. The results show that the reconstruction quality can be improved greatly if suitable relaxation factor is selected and priori knowledge is incorporated.
