Abstract
The recent development for synthesis of carbamate and disubstituted ureas is summarized. The catalyst systems, including palladium, ruthenium, rhodium, selenium and gold, for reductive carbonylation of nitro compounds or oxidative carbonylation of amine using carbon monoxide and the base catalyst for carbonylation of amines by carbon dioxide and dimethyl carbonate are described.
