Abstract

The field of chemical and biological sensing is becoming ever more and more dependent upon novel materials. In this review, we discuss recent advances in protein sensing using amplifying fluorescent conjugated polymers. The increased sensitivity/amplification is derived from the ability of a conjugated polymer to serve as a highly efficient electron/energy transport medium. Several sensory strategies have also been discussed in detail.
