Projection simulation of cone-beam CT for ideal functional material components

Abstract

Focusing on the application demand of cone-beam CT in the research and development of ideal functional material components, an approach based on extended voxel model to express the material information of CT simulation components is presented. In the computation of projection simulation for voxel models, the paper proposed a new efficient method for voxel model traversal and intersection calculation along 3D ray beam, and employed Simpson integral formula to realize the projection linear integration with high speed and accuracy. Experimental result shows the availability of the method.
