Abstract
For improving the accuracy of a missile, the post-thrust of a solid rocket motor was analyzed and calculated theoretically. The internal temperature field of the insulation was calculated by using one-dimensional two-layer model, and the conservation equations of energy and mass of the insulation surface were created, the pyrolysis gas mass and the erosion mass of the insulation at various time in the post-thrust phase were found. Then the internal ballistic of the motor in the post-thrust phase was calculated by the classical fluid mechanics theory. Finally the post-thrust of motor was calculated. The results show that the post-thrust is reduced quickly after the motor burnout.
