Abstract

As the core of the secondary energy system of more/all electric aircraft, the aircraft electric power system (EPS) has essential research value. It carries the important function of converting chemical energy (aviation fuel, energy storage battery, chemical energy) into electrical energy and mechanical energy, which is crucial to the overall and global optimization design of the aircraft. This paper selects typical more/all electric and hybrid aircraft, analyzes the EPS architecture design methods, and concludes the critical technologies from health management, intelligent power distribution, capacity configuration, and fault protection. By summarizing the technical characteristics of different types of EPSs, the future development trend of more/all electric power systems is discussed and analyzed, which has high engineering significance and reference value for the overall architecture and power system design of future electric aircraft.
