Abstract

Recently, much attention has been paid to the preparation, characterization, and theoretical studies of cross-shaped conjugation systems. This article reviews the recent progress in this field, especially application in self-assembly, organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) and metal ion sensing. Finally, authors' work on the cross-shaped p-n diblock oligomers is introduced. The development prospects of cross-shaped conjugation systems are also presented.
