Abstract

To overcome the insufficient of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) in cost and identification distance, and to make it be applied on a large scale in Internet of Things enable manufacturing environment, a method called Integrated RFID Reader-Sensor Node (IRRSN) was proposed. Through multi-hop communication mode of sensor networks, IRRSN and RFID tags were used to build the communication network, which was effectively prolonged the RFID identification distance. On this basis, a kind of IRRSN optimal deployment method based on Adaptive Genetic Algorithm (AGA) was proposed to optimize the network data transmission mode, which realized IRRSN's maximum coverage over the tags and reducing the network cost. Through the case simulation, the effectiveness of the proposed method was analyzed and verified.
