Optical transmission characteristics of liquid-liquid electrorheological fluids

Abstract

Liquid-liquid disperse system is a kind of significant soft matter, which includes liquid- liquid electrocrheological fluids. In the effect of external electric field, the internal structure of liquid-liquid electrorheological fluid changes, which results in the changes of many physical properties. In this paper, optical properties of liquid-liquid electrorheological fluids were investigated to realize the adjustable transmissivity characteristics in the effect of electric field and optic field.
