Abstract
The truss-core is equivalent to the anisotropic and homogenous material based on the equivalent strain energy principle, and the corresponding macroscopically effective elastic constants are obtained. The finite element computation on the responses of full-scale and equivalent sandwich panel is presented, and the accuracy of the method is validated by one example. The computational at results indicate that accurate effective elastic constants can be obtained with less computer time cost comparing with other homogenization methods.
