On improving rectification of SAR image

Abstract

In order to get good rectification for the distortion of SAR (synthetic aperture radar) image, the DEM (digital elevation model) with high resolution is indispensable. For obtaining the DEM with high resolution, a local fractional Brownian field model was presented. On the basis of that, the local adaptive DEM fractal interpolation method was proposed. Experimental results show that the method can truly describe terrian feature of local area. The method is not only feasible but also effective in improving rectification of SAR image.
