Abstract

The sealing performance of safety valve is studied using simulation technique. First, the temperature distribution computed from fluid software is used in structure analysis software to get the pressure of valve and the osculating pressure of main valve's core and shell. Then, the effect of safety valve's sealing reliability by gas pressure, friction coefficient, clearance between core and shell, and compression ratio under compound loading is analyzed using reliability analysis method. The results shows that compression ratio is the main factor that affects the performance of valve, the valve is not disabled under defined compound loading, the reliability of the valve is given.
