NGA based on uniform design and its application in optimization of FCS

Abstract

How to select the object function parameter of the niche genetic algorithm (NGA) and its initial swarm is a very difficult problem when the NGA is applied in the optimization of flight control systems (FCS). To optimizing the FCS more efficiently, an optimizing strategy based on reference model is proposed, and by this strategy, the requirement on the quality of FCS is transformed into the referenced model which is derived from the military standard on the FCS. To make the NGA search more rapidly, a method based on the uniform design is given, and the more appropriate initial swarm and parameters of NGA are selected by this method. The simulation shows that the optimal strategy can solve the optimal design of the FCS effectively, the initial swarm gotten by the selecting method given in the paper distributes uniformly, and the NGA with the initial swarm has more rapid convergence velocity.
