Abstract
For searching the stiffness structure under the constraints of given material volume fraction, the subset simulationbased topology optimization method is established on the combination of the advanced sensitivity filtering technique with the subset simulation, an efficient reliability analysis method. The subset simulation-based topology optimization is convergent, checkerboard free, and mesh independent. After one example is used to testify these advantages of the established method, the optimal design of the leading-edge rib of an aircraft wing is searched by the subset simulation-based topology optimization method, and the results demonstrate that the established method is an effective and rational tool for the topology optimization of the continuum structure.
