New design method to hypoid gear of high strength

Abstract

A new designing method to hypoid gear of high strength was introduced. This method discarded the limit to addendum coefficient, and using the flexible choice to the addendum coefficient, the maximal stretched stress, the maximal compressed stress were markably reduced. Simultaneously, the pressure angle of tooth surface of forward running can be modified so as to add up the strength of the tooth surface of forward running.
