Abstract

Based on the variable structure adaptive control theory, a new 3-channel independence design method, which brings three main advantages, is presented. Firstly, the control laws gotten with the method depend only on the maximum perturbation values and the nominal values of plant's parameters. Thus, the robustness of the control systems is considerably improved. Secondly, as there is no need to use parameter identifiers and disturbance estimators, the controller structures are greatly simplified. Thus, on-line realization is made easy. Thirdly, all the coupling factors of the channels are preserved and many non-ideal factors of control actuators, rate gyros and accelerometers are considered. Thus, more precise control laws are obtained. Finally, some digital simulation results are presented, and they show that the new method is satisfactory.
