Abstract

A kind of semi-orthogonal nonuniform B-spline wavelets is proposed based on discrete inner product and B-spline knot insertion algorithm. It has stronger representation capability and extensive adaptability compared with any uniform and quasi-uniform B-spline wavelets in CAGD/CG. Multiresolution geometric modeling is discussed for nonuniform B-spline curves and surfaces using nonuniform B-spline wavelets. The experimental results show the efficiency of proposed non-uniform B-spline wavelets in multiresolution geometric modeling.
