Abstract

Aiming at the problem of multiple-fault modeling for electrical servo system, a multiple-fault modeling method was presented based on the reconfiguration of simulation model and faults model nesting. The electrical servo system was divided into some function units, and the fault model of every function unit was built according to the uniform fault expression. To describe the multiple faults of system, the modeling method was proposed by using both the level-wise nest for the inner faults of function unit and the fault model combination when the faults exist in different function units. The nest principle under different types of multiple faults are analyzed and given. The simulation and experiment results indicate that the multiple- fault model can effectively describe the fault characteristics of electrical servo system, and the modeling method is valid and applicable, which can supply the research platform for fault diagnosis, establishing the fault knowledge base and the simulation verification for fault-tolerant control.
