Multiobjective fuzzy weight-optimization design of under-water vehicle shell structure

Abstract

To reduce the design weight of shell structure for underwater vehicle, the global fuzzy optimization method was proposed, in which not only the structural characteristics are considered, but also the fuzzy properties for structural design and constraint conditions are considered. The basic idea of the method is that the optimal constraint solutions for each single objective problem was first solved, then the optimal solutions was fuzzed, the effective solution of multi-objective fuzzy optimization is the solution corresponding to causing the membership function of intersection to be maximum value. The result for the typical example has shown that the fuzzy optimization method can achieve weight reduction of about 15%.
