Abstract

To avoid the shortcomings of the hard work and the complicated process while building the air-launched system model by using the traditional theory, aiming at vehicle-parachute system's characteristics, the dynamic model of the vehicle-parachute system was proposed by the multi-body dynamic method. The embedded restriction method was used to deal with the system's multi-body dynamic problem. A dynamic model with simple form, easy calculation, commonality vehicle-parachute system was given. The vehicle-parachute system was simulated by multi-body dynamic model, and the effectiveness of the multi-body dynamic model was validated by comparing the simulated result with the flight-test measured data. The result shows that the model can reflect reality, and it offers bases for the design and the performance prediction and estimation of corresponding air-launched system.
