Abstract

Based on the deformation mechanism of Carbon fibre reinforced magnesium matrix composites in hot forming, a new microstructure model based on Yada model in hot forming was established. The model was applied to Carbon fibre reinforced magnesium matrix composites in hot forming. According to the experimental results, the material constants of the present model were identified through data regression based on a C++ program. The calculated results of Carbon fibre reinforced magnesium matrix composites are in good agreement with the experimental ones. The model can be used to characterize the microstructure evolution of the magnesium matrix composites in hot forming.
