Abstract

SiC-MoSi2/SiC antioxidation coating for C/C composites was prepared by means of combination technique of pack cementation, slurry method and chemical vapor deposition. Microstructure, ingredient distribution and phase composition of the coating were analyzed by means of SEM, EDS and XRD. The oxidation experimental results show that oxidation weight loss rate of the prepared SiC-MoSi2/SiC coating after oxidization for 20 h at 1500°C is only 2.8%. Anti-oxidation failure of the coating was mainly resulted from penetrating defect.
