Abstract

Displacement measurement is a very important content in structural tests. Many structural tests are in urgent need of distributed displacement of elastic body. At present, the non-contact methods, such as optical camera and laser displacement meter, have become the main methods of displacement measurement. However, these methods are often limited by the test environment and device conditions. Based on the advantages of high sensitivity, high measurement precision, wide measuring range, small size and small weight, the application of strain gauges in distributed displacement measurement is developed. It is possible to obtain the displacement response of multiple points and even the whole field by measuring the strain response of the structural minor point. Both the numerical calculation and the design of experiments results show that the method has a very high measurement accuracy and stability.
